3 Days Malaysia Endau Rompin Selai

Selai, Endau-Rompin Johor National Park (commonly referred to as just Selai) is the western gateway to Johor’s famed Endau-Rompin Johor National Park. Selai is located in the district of Segamat, and has been officially opened to the public since Jan 2003. (Selai is not to be confused with Peta, Endau-Rompin Johor National Park, which is the more established entry point on the eastern gateway to the Endau-Rompin recreational area.)

Selai is the most rugged and untamed of Johor’s national parks. And yet it personifies all the beauty and complexity of a Malaysian rainforest. Selai’s true appeal lies in this very contradiction. For this is a place that is as brooding as it is enchanting, as forbidding as it is beautiful a veritable gem of an untamed wilderness.

Itinerary

Day 1 Sin- Bekok – Ednau Rompin (BLD)
05.20 am Meet at Tg Pagar Railway Stn for train to Bekok
05.50 am Depart by train
08.45 am Arrive Bekok for simple breakfast in local coffeshop
09.30 am Depart by 4-wheel drive to Endau Rompin
After park office registration
11.30 am Check-in to hut & lunch
1.30 pm Trek to waterfalls followed by water tubing
6.00 pm Dinner
8.00 pm Night walk/ fishing

Day 2 Selai (BLD)
07.30 am Breakfast
08.30 am Explore the waterfalls by foot with picnic lunch
05.30 pm Return to campsite for blowpipe activity
06.30 pm Dinner
08.30 pm Rest at leisure before bed time

Day 3 Selai – SIN (BLD)
07.30 am Breakfast
08.30 am Rest at leisure or engage in Orang Alsi jungle survival
03.00 pm Check out and meet vehicle for return drive to Bekok
05.00 pm Dinner at Bekok, explore the sleepy town before connecting 1910hr train back SIN
11.20 pm Home sweet home
